Members of the so-called Kosovo police raided and closed the Center for Social Welfare in Gracanica today, said the director of this institution, Nemanja Petkovic.

He added that they were told they didn't have the permit to operate from the provisional Pristina institutions, and that the Center for Social Welfare will not be able to continue providing services to vulnerable families.

"I am sorry that our users will not be able to continue accessing their rights," said Petkovic.

About 450 families are getting welfare benefits through this center, along with 150 people who require care from another person.

Today, members of the so-called Kosovo police raided all institutions of the Government of Serbia in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija located south of the Ibar River.
