Djokovic would play tennis and ride bike with this Slovenian: "I'm glad that our guy rules that sport!"
After his victory in the second round of the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic, among other things, spoke to journalists about topics other than tennis, so he mentioned Tadej Pogacar, a great cyclist who has dominated the sport all over Europe for several years.
"I congratulate him on his extraordinary victory. I follow mostly because of him, I followed cycling before, Marco Pantani was my idol once in that sport and since then I haven't followed it much, but when Tadej appeared, because our guy rules that sport, it motivated me to pay more attention. I hope that we will have the opportunity to meet in person soon and ride a bike together up a mountain and play tennis, that would be great," said Novak.
In the second round of the tournament in Melbourne, the Serbian tennis player defeated Jaime Faria from Portugal 3-1, and his next opponent will be Czech Tomas Machac, against whom he has already played twice, and who managed to beat him last year in Geneva.
Caution is expected, but also a victory by the best tennis player of all time.
