Minister Djuric signs book of condolence at US embassy following death of Jimmy Carter
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric signed the book of condolence today at the US Embassy in Belgrade on the occasion of the death of former US President Jimmy Carter.

Offering his condolences to the family and US citizens, Djuric stressed that Jimmy Carter was an outstanding leader and a tireless humanitarian, and that his dedication to peace, justice and human rights has left an indelible mark, both in the US and around the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday.
"We will remember him as a man of great wisdom and heart, with a vision of a better and more just society, who inspired many generations, and whose good deeds will forever be an example to humanity. His visit to Belgrade in 1980, which was the last visit of a US president to our capital, has a special place in the memory of our people," Djuric wrote.
He added that we "share in the sadness over the irreparable loss, but also the pride over the legacy that Jimmy Carter has left to the world, and the memory of his life and work will forever be in our hearts."
