President of the National Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic announced that she is going to Banja Luka to celebrate the Day of the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina).

"I'm going to Banja Luka today and I'm very happy about it. A formal ceremony will be held, where our Prime Minister Milos Vucevic will also speak. I want to be there, to offer support," she told TV Pink.

Brnabic pointed out that it is always pleasant to in be in the RS on January 8 and 9, and that the latter day, the RS Day, is special not only for the RS, but for the entire Serb nation.

Brnabic also stated that she will meet with RS Assembly President Nenad Stevandic, with whom she is planned to reach agreement on the 3rd parliamentary forum Serbia-RS.

"This is something we promised in the declaration we agreed on during the All-Serb Assembly. We continue to fight for our people, for our national interests, which does not mean that we are fighting against someone. Quite the opposite. A strong Serbia also means a stable region," she said.

Brnabic stressed that Serbia has nothing against anyone in the Western Balkans and that we ask that no one should interfere in our internal affairs just as we do not interfere in theirs.

"I understand that the strategic interest of Croatia is that Aleksandar Vucic should not be at the helm of Serbia. I understand now that, as we heard again over the holidays, this is even the strategic interest of the entire region. Therefore, the strategic interest of the entire region is for Serbia to stop in its tracks. And our strategic interest is that the region should not stop. Our strategic interest is that they all do well, that they are economically advanced and strong," she said.

A delegation of the Government of Serbia, led by Prime Minister Milos Vucevic, will be on a two-day visit to Banja Luka starting today, where they will attend the celebration of the RS Day - January 9.
