President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic assessed last night that the most brutal interference in Serbia's internal affairs is coming from the region, because it bothers them that Serbia is growing economically faster than all of them, and that it is no longer the same as it was between 2000 and 2012.

"Not poisonous darts, but the most brutal interference in the internal affairs of our country is coming from the entire region, while everyone pretends that nothing is happening, but it's enough to look at what Croatia's political scene is like, where all presidential candidates, without exception are talking about their strategic interest being in who will be in power and who they would overthrow in the Republic of Serbia," Vucic said, addressing an SNS-organized youth forum held in the Sava Center.

He added that it is the same in Pristina, and similar in Podgorica as well as in Sarajevo.

"Just think about one thing, and that is, why do you think this is being done? And why do you think they need it so much? Is it maybe because they love Serbia? And when you hear that sentence that things should change in Serbia, for Serbia to become a normal country, do you really believe that presidential candidates in Croatia and Albin Kurti love Serbia more than its own president or its own prime minister or anyone else who runs this country? Does that sound logical to you?," Vucic asked.

He added that this is impossible and not even logical.

"What do they really want? They want Serbia to be just as insignificant as it was from 2000 to 2012, as they say, and it was not small enough then, although it was much more tolerable and closer to their hearts than this Serbia today," Vucic said.

According to him, this Serbia bothers them today not because it did anything against them.

"This is because this Serbia today grows faster economically than all of them. Because in Serbia pensions are increased and paid faster than there. Because Serbia is no longer a country that they can kick around and humiliate and Serbia is not a country that will every day apologize to them, I guess, because they expelled 250,000 people (Serbs) and because they tried to get a part of our territory to secede," said the president.

He added that there are those who became well known because they had to and were ordered to say something against him - from their singers to actors and others.

"And then you wonder what is happening here in Serbia. And then when you see how much money came to opposition political parties, to Proglas from abroad. Directly from abroad. Well, it didn't come for nothing and nothing is for free. Free cheese exists only in a mouse trap. You have to do the dirty work for that money. And when you do the dirty work, then they will be satisfied with you," said Vucic.
