President Putin sends New Year and Christmas greetings to President Vucic

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has received a message from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the New Year, and Christmas (celebrated in Russia and Serbia on Jan. 7) holidays.

"I extend my heartfelt greetings for the upcoming holidays - the New Year and Orthodox Christmas," the Russian president's message reads.

"Russian-Serbian relations, which are based on the ancient traditions of friendship and spiritual closeness, have successfully developed in various spheres within the framework of strategic partnership in the past year," Putin stressed, according to the Serbian president's press service.

"I am convinced that we will continue active joint work on current issues on the bilateral and international agenda to the benefit of the brotherly peoples of our countries. I wish you, your family and those closest to you good health, happiness and success, and peace and prosperity to all citizens of Serbia," Putin's message concluded.
