President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic last night addressed the public from the Presidency and said that Sunday was an "extraordinary day" for Serbia!

"Today was an extraordinary day for Serbia! We opened 30 kilometers of a new and most modern highway to the pride of all those who live in Rasina and Raska, and also the Sumadija district and in the whole of Serbia. We will continue to work and we will continue to build. I also received data for the second decade of December. It's now clear that this year is a record one regarding investments. That it certainly exceeds 4.6, and probably 4.7 billion euros, and that's why we will be champions not only in the region but also in the whole of Southeast Europe, proportional to the number of people and our territory," said Vucic in a message posted on Instagram.

The president added that it is important to continue to work together at this moment, not to leave all our differences aside, but try to understand that peace and stability in the country are extremely important to us.

"A big rally was held in Belgrade. Police say 28,000-29,000 people. An extremely large gathering. Those people are opposition-oriented and I have always been ready to hear what they think, and what they think is important to do for our country. I believe a much larger number of people think differently (than the protesters). That's why we have to listen to each other, for that to be a value that we will point to in the future. This flag you see is the flag I carried in May 2024, when we defended Serbia at the UN General Assembly and I would say we defended it quite successfully.

We should unite around our basic goals under our flag, while all our arguments and disagreements can continue. To offer young people a future, to think about how and in what way they can stay in our country, remain here and see a different and better future for themselves and their children. It was a bit of a busy day for me. I finished decorating the New Year's tree with my friends from the Presidency and tomorrow we have an even harder day, more demanding, and I believe it will be just as successful as this one," added Vucic.
