Man accused of one of the most brutal crimes this year in Serbia dies in prison
I.M. (47), who killed his mother in Novi Sad on November 16, died in the Special Prison Hospital in Belgrade, Telegraf has learned.

The Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions confirmed for us that I.M. (47) died on December 15 in the evening hours in the internal ward of this hospital.
They explained that I.M. was admitted to this institution on November 18, the same day that the Higher Court in Novi Sad ordered him to be kept in detention.
In accordance with the legal procedure, the police conducted an investigation, the prosecution and the competent court were informed, and the body has been sent for an autopsy.
We learned unofficially that I.M. was brought to the hospital in a deteriorating mental state considering the fact that he was not talking the necessary medication, prescribed for a health condition which he had for a long time.
He was suspected of killing his mother A.M. (77) by cutting off her head.
