Petkovic: Belgrade welcomes Serb List's decision to participate in elections in Kosovo and Metohija
Belgrade welcomes the decision of the Serb List to take part in the February 9 elections in Kosovo and Metohija and achieve a convincing victory, which means winning all 10 seats in the Pristina assembly guaranteed to the Serb community, and thus continuing the fight for the survival of the Serb people in Kosovo using all democratic means, and institutions in Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, said today.

"Everything that is happening to the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, especially in recent months, especially in the north, has only given additional strength to our people and the Serb List to go to these elections and achieve a convincing victory. The list of 48 candidates of the Serb List speaks volumes to how serious it is. It is about a political party and a political factor that represents the strength of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, and they are the only legitimate representative of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija," he told TV Prva.
Petkovic added that the list of candidates includes most respected doctors, university professors, doctors of science, many important and brave people, and among them Dragica Gasic, the Serb woman who was the first to return to her hometown of Djakovica after the war in 1999.
He assessed that Albin Kurti will do absolutely everything and will spare neither money nor influence, to try to question the legitimacy and the victory of the Serb List.
"It's important for Kurti to put Serbs like Rasic in those 10 guaranteed seats for the Serb community. We are talking about Kurti's Serbs, about Serbs concerned with their personal interest and the interest of Pristina, rather than the interest of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija. With such people, they (Pristina) could change the so-called constitution of Kosovo and many procedures and laws," he said.
Petkovic added that this is why it is important for the Serb List to win convincingly and for all Serbs to gather around it.
