Vucic in Brussels with EU officials and at dinner with Costa and Western Balkans leaders
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is today on a one-day visit to Brussels, where he will hold separate meetings with European Union officials and attend a dinner organized by President of the European Council Antonio Costa for the leaders of the Western Balkans.
Vucic will have separate meetings with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Director General of the European Commission's Directorate for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Gert Jan Koopman, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos and President of the European Council Antonio Costa, the Serbian president's press service has announced.
Costa's press service previously told Tanjug that the aim of the informal dinner is for Costa to meet with the leaders of the Western Balkans at the start of his mandate, as he intends to give new momentum to relations with the region.
As stated, the dinner will also be an opportunity to prepare the EU-Western Balkans summit, which will be held on December 18.
It was announced that the new EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and the new Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos will attend.
Kallas will also meet today in Brussels with the leaders from Belgrade and Pristina, announced the new spokeswoman of the European Commission for foreign and security policy, Anitta Hipper, adding that the meeting is not related to the EU-mediated dialogue.
Costa's mandate at the head of the European Council, which will last two and a half years, began on December 1.
