Prime Minister of Serbia Milos Vicevoc has appealed to Goran Vesic to end his hunger strike, so as not to endanger his health, and to instead focus on his legal defense.

The prime minister told Prva TV that Vesic is under prison guard in the hospital, reports Dnevnik.

"There are guards from the Novi Sad District Prison, he is handled by the medical team and the guards from the Investigative Jail. It's not a case of gaming the process. I appeal to Goran to end the hunger strike because it endangers his health, and to concentrate on his defense, not on putting his life in danger.

He shouldn't do that, because he could pay the ultimate price. He needs to focus on his defense. Obviously since he has been on a hunger strike for a few days it is something that creates bad consequences."
