Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on his Instagram account that he is not afraid of thugs and that, "we will not give them Serbia."

"Dear citizens of Serbia, for days we have been exposed to brutal outbursts of violence carried out by certain political factors in our country, with the wholehearted support of so-called media pressure groups and other pressure groups. What remains for us decent citizens in the state of Serbia to do, regardless of political orientation, is to trust the work of the state authorities, and not to take any measures in order to show, in the street, who is more numerous, stronger or something like that," Vucic said, and added:

"For days, we have been watching them taking it out on journalists they don't like. And that's why I have special respect for journalists Lidija Makragic, Milica Skoric and Branka Lazic, the Informer journalists who went through real torment by savages led by a proven drug addict, and not just a drug addict, Mr. Miketic."

"The attacks that our police officers endured both in Novi Sad and Belgrade. Even if they would not intervene, but would only try to get them (protesters) out of the way, and they wouldn't want to clear the way, even when they were only being carried away, they would squeal like pigs, demanding attention and condemnation of the Serbian police, who behaved professionally, and condemnation of the Serbian state."
