Dacic: Suspect arrested for publicly calling for jihad, photos and videos with ISIS symbols discovered
Deputy Prime Minister and Internal Minister Ivica Dacic says that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Anti-Terrorism Service of the Criminal Police Directorate and the police Novi Pazar have arrested a person suspected of committing the crime of public incitement to commit terrorist acts.
"Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Anti-Terrorism Service of the Criminal Police Administration and PU Novi Pazar, arrested N. A. (1987) on suspicion that he committed the crime of public incitement to commit terrorist acts. In the previous period, the suspect managed accounts on Facebook which he used to call for jihad, while photos and videos with ISIS symbols glorifying it and its members, as well as their suicide attacks, were publicly shared. Also, on the same accounts, there were posts glorifying the attack on a police officer in front of the Israeli embassy in Belgrade."
"During the search of the suspect's apartment, carried out on the order of the Special Department for Organized Crime of the Higher Court in Belgrade, devices were found which are assumed to have been used to administer the aforementioned accounts. The suspect will be detained for up to 48 hours and then, along with a criminal complaint, taken to the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime," said Dacic.
