Novi Sad railway station collapse claims 15th victim
One of the three patients who got seriously injured as a result of the collapse of a part of the entrance to the railway station in Novi Sad died on Sunday in the Clinical Center of Vojvodina (KVC), Acting Director Dr. Vesna Turkulov told Tanjug.
"This was the patient with the most serious injuries. She is the 15th victim of the accident that happened in Novi Sad on November 1. Despite the fight and the efforts of the doctors, she died," said Turkulov.
The doctor added that the injuries were life-threatening from the very beginning and that the doctors are continuing to fight for the lives of the other two seriously injured persons.
"On behalf of all KCV employees, I want to once again express my deepest condolences to the family and gratitude to the doctors who did their best," underlined Turkulov.
It was later reported that the patient who died on Sunday was 24-year-old Anja Radonjic, whose arm had to be amputated at the site of the accident, and who had other multiple serious injuries.
