Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today with President of Switzerland's Council for Dual Education Ursula Renold, and discussed cooperation in the field of the dual model of education, which represents one of the strategic goals of the Government of Serbia and one of the most significant segments of the already good relations between Serbia and Switzerland.

"Dual education gives a comparative advantage in attracting foreign investments and strengthening the domestic economy, and its role in Serbia is crucial in further reducing the unemployment rate, preventing the outflow of professional workforce, as well as preparing young people to work in the best companies in our country," Vucic wrote on his instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".

The president thanked Renold for the help and cooperation provided so far and pointed out that Serbia is working on adapting the dual education model to our conditions and creating a national model that respects the specifics of our educational and economic system.

"In this regard, we discussed new amendments to the Law on Dual Education that favor the introduction of lifelong learning where students can obtain diplomas in formal, but also certificates in informal education, which significantly strengthens personal development and accelerates employment. This has proven to be a trend throughout Europe, but it is also a key measure for Serbia in the European Commission's report for 2024," Vucic stated.

The president added that he is not satisfied with the pace and that reforms will have to be accelerated.
