During an opposition protest that took place in Novi Sad last night, the former president of the municipality of Indjija, Goran Jesic, got arrested for attacking the police.

Jesic kicked a policeman who was not defending himself, and he had no documents when he was taken into custody.

A former judge of the Constitutional Court, Svetozar Ciplic, who was Minister of Human Rights in the government headed by Mirko Cvetkovic, attacked the SNS party premises in Novi Sad with a hammer, which was seized from him.

The protest was organized by the opposition in Novi Sad because of the deaths of 14 people during the collapse of a part of the entrance to the railway station in that city.

The premises of the SNS, as well as the City Hall, were attacked by the protesters.
