Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin met on Thursday in Minsk, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Eurasian Security, with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.

Vulin and Lavrov agreed that the recent conversation between presidents of Serbia and Russia Aleksandar Vucic and Vladimir Putin is significant for the relations between the two countries.

The deputy Serbian prime mininister stressed that Serbia, led by the last free leader in Europe, will continue to conduct its policies exclusively in the interest of its citizens and preserve traditional friendships.

He added that participation in the BRICS Summit in Kazan is the best indicator of the free policy that Serbia is leading.

Vulin expressed his gratitude to Russia for the safe and predictable supply of gas to Serbia, as well as for the increased quantities of gas that have been made available to Serbia, for a favorable price.
