Prime Minister of Serbia Milos Vucevic will meet today with head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret, who will present him with the European Commission's report on Serbia for 2024.
The meeting will be held at the Government at 3 pm, a statement said.
The European Commission stated in a draft report, which Tanjug has seen, that Cluster 3, which refers to competitiveness and inclusive growth, is technically ready for opening and that the overall pace of negotiations will continues to depend on reforms to the rule of law and normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
"The Commission's recommendations from previous years that Serbia has met the initial criteria for Cluster 3 (competitiveness and inclusive growth) and that this cluster is technically ready for opening remain valid," states the draft report.
It analyzes progress towards EU membership, which was achieved in Cluster 1 that refers to good neighborly relations and regional cooperation, normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, and the ability to assume obligations stemming from EU membership.
Today, the European Commission will adopt the Enlargement Package for 2024, which consists of the Commission's announcement and reports for ten candidates and potential candidates for EU membership, including Serbia.
