Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Criminal Police Directorate, acting on the order of the Special Department for Combating Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Nis, arrested M.N. (22) and L.DJ. (28).

They are employees of the Chinese company Serbia Zijin Mining in Bor, and have been arrested on suspicion of receiving bribes.

M.J. (36), the de facto responsible person of the ASPIT Bor company, has also been arrested on suspicion of giving bribes.

It is suspected that from December 2023 to September 2024, M.N. demanded and received money from M.J. in order to, together with L.DJ., obtain and deliver information about participants in a procurement process and their bids, which was done.

It is further suspected that, based on the information received, M.J. made and submitted a more favorable offer than other suppliers on behalf of ASPIT which in this way received contracts worth 896,104 dinars from the Chinese company.

Based on previous agreement, M.J. then on several occasions handed over 89,600 dinars to M.N, i.e. 10 percent of the total amount paid to ASPIT.

The suspects have been brought before the prosecutor along with a criminal complaint.
