Government: Deputy PM Vulin to lead Serbian delegation as President Vucic's envoy at BRICS summit

The personal envoy of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, is leading the Serbian delegation at the BRICS Summit, which is being held in the Russian city of Kazan, the Serbian Government has announced.

In addition to Vulin, the Serbian delegation includes Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasic, Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic, and Minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation Nenad Popovic.

The summit of BRICS leaders begins in Kazan today, under the motto "Strengthening multilateralism for just global development and security" and will last until October 24.

This will be the first summit after the expansion of BRICS, so, in addition to the founding countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Ethiopia, which became members on January 1 of this year, will also participate.

It was announced in Moscow that 36 countries will be represented at the summit, 22 at the highest level, as well as the leadership of six international organizations.

Among others, the arrival of the leaders of China Xi Jinping, Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian, Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan and India's Narendra Modi, as well as UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, has been announced.
