Assembly President Brnabic meets with head of OSCE Mission in Serbia, Jan Braathu
President of the National Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic pointed out in conversation with the head of the OSCE Mission, Jan Braathu, that she fully supports all OSCE projects, which will lead to the strengthening of parliamentarianism in Serbia and the strengthening of the inclusivity of the highest legislative institution in the country.
The Assembly of Serbia announced that Brnabic spoke with Braathu about establishing cooperation between the National Assembly and the OSCE in several areas, such as setting up a Green Resource Center, the issue of accessibility to the National Assembly for persons with disabilities, and the training of members of a professional service that assists parliamentary groups.
Brnabic, speaking about the idea of establishing a Green Resource Center, stressed that it is good that environmental protection has become one of the important topics in our society.
The center would provide access to scientifically based facts and in that way greatly help the debate in the Assembly, which will ultimately benefit all citizens of Serbia.
Brnabic thanked Braathu for the support that the OSCE provides to Serbia in various areas, saying she was happy that, as the president of the Assembly, she has the opportunity to strengthen parliamentary cooperation with this organization.
Braathu stressed that these are precisely the goals that the OSCE Mission wants to achieve in cooperation with the Serbian National Assembly, and that the support of the Assembly president in their implementation is of exceptional importance.
He added that the OSCE will work diligently with the National Assembly, in order to implement all the planned projects as quickly as possible and in that way contribute to its more efficient and better functioning.
