Sremska Mitrovica police: One person has died in a collision near Indjija
One person died and 27 were injured in a collision between a bus and a passenger car that happened this morning on the old road between Novi Sad and Indjija.

The police in Sremska Mitrovica made this announcement.
"Around 7:30 am, on the road between Indjija and Novi Sad, near Indjija, a bus and a passenger vehicle were involved in an accident," said the police.
"Ten people were transported to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, seven to the hospital in Sremska Mitrovica and two to Belgrade to the VMA. Diagnostic work is in progress. This is not the final number of injured persons, because citizens who found themselves at the scene drove some of the casualties to the emergency medical centers in Beska and Indjija. We will soon know the final number" said the Health Center in the town of Indjija.
We have unofficially learned that it is suspected that the accident was caused by an 18-year-old who was speeding. In order to avoid a direct collision, the bus driver swerved off the road. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.
The teenager died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
Traffic on this road was diverted to Beska this morning.
