Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday evening that he and former Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic have a common obsession. Serbia.

Commenting on a video which shows Milo Djukanovic singing, "We are stronger than Serbia," Vucic said:

"I saw it, it's interesting. Almost everything about our programs and ideas is different, we think about everything differently, but we have one common obsession - Serbia. I love it, he hates it. And I have no problem with that. I will continue to love, he can continue to hate my country, but at the same time I will respect Montenegro. He can sing and hate Serbia all he likes, Serbia will move forward. I will not say a word against Montenegro. I thank them for showing us how obsessed they are with Serbia. They can sing whatever they want, what we're doing here tonight says much more than any song against our country."

Last night, President Vucic was attending a ceremony on the occasion of the completion of works on the St. Regis Belgrade, located in Belgrade Tower, which he referred to in this way:

"I am happy and proud of everything you have seen here tonight, which is located in a place where there used to be a terrible shack. There will be many more changes here. It's not easy anymore, we have a lot of money in the account, but the demands of the people have grown."

"We will keep that bridge that was built during the Nazi (occupation of Serbia), but we will move it some 2 kilometers. We will build another bridge there. We will soon open a railway bridge as a pedestrian bridge."

"We will have a market that will be better than the one in Madrid. There will be many cafes, restaurants... We will start with that soon. Belgrade is developing. Serbia, as the most beautiful country in the world, must have a metropolis that is attractive to everyone. We will continue to invest in Belgrade, but also in Nis, Novi Sad, Subotica, Kraljevo..."

"We have to do a lot by 2027 (and EXPO in Belgrade). It's a miracle, even though there is a war in Ukraine, in the Middle East, a cold war between the West and China, people in Serbia rightly expect to live better."

He added that the opposition told him that they were waiting for him in the National Assembly, and then they said that he could come to the balcony.

"They are afraid of one man, they are afraid of one man's words, one man's brain and head. They would give anything in the world to be able to defeat and overthrow that one. They are troubled by the fact that one is not afraid of all of them put together and that he knows everything they would do. We managed to get 28 countries to withdraw their recognition of Kosovo."

"I bore everyone in this country, but Goran Bogdanovic and all of them put together on one list and I on another, so let's see who gets how many votes from the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. It's not easy for them and never was and never will be. At least I don't lie by saying 'standards before status', then run away (like previous president during Kosovo UDI) to Romania for a little trip."

Vucic did not hide his surprise when he heard that another now opposition figure, Dragan Djilas, accused him of selling oil company NIS to the Russians, which happened in 2008.

"I wasn't even a member of the Assembly then, and that's when they sold NIS. He (Djilas) at the time made all the decisions in this country. You're kidding, he didn't really say that. Has he lost his mind in the meantime"?!

"It's not possible, he's not that stupid. I'm surprised because he's nowhere near the stupidest."

"2027 will be the middle of what we plan to do, and you will see that you will not be able to recognize our country," Vucic said.
