Dejan Dragijevic and Srdjan Jankovic have been indicted for the murder of 2-year-old Danka Ilic, while Dejan's father, Radoslav Dragijevic, is accused of failing to report a crime and assisting after the commission of a crime.

According to the indictment, (Dejan) Dragijevic strangled the child in the trunk of a company car he and Jankovic were traveling in.

The prosecution states in its indictment that Danka was killed on March 26 at around 1:53 pm as the two public utility company workers were returning from work. The car was driven by Srdjan Jankovic, while Dejan Dragijevic was in the passenger seat. It is stated that the girl was hit by the car and fell to the right side of the vehicle, hitting the rear right wheel, which Dragijevic noticed and told Jankovic.

The indictment continues that they then agreed to remove the child in order to avoid being arrested for the traffic incident.

According to the indictment, Dragijevic was the one who got out of the car, picked up the child from the road and put her in the trunk of the vehicle. When he realized that the girl was alive, he allegedly strangled her. All the time, Jankovic followed what Dragijevic was doing and kept watch.

The defendants then allegedly agreed to leave the child's body at a garbage dump on the Starobanjski Road leading to Bor. According to the prosecution, when Jankovic stopped the car, they left the child's body there.

Since the body has not yet been found, the indictment is based on witness statements and footage from surveillance cameras that indicated that the two defendants were at the place where the girl was last seen. The indictment mentions data from a GPS device in their car and surveillance videos as proof of their movements.

The defendants are charged with the crime of aggravated murder of a child, which is punishable by life imprisonment without parole.
