A father and his three children are among the victims

Serbian Army Sergeant M.V. (54), who allegedly crossed into the opposite lane near Raska while behind the wheel of an armored combat vehicle Pasars and literally drove over a Ford in which five people died, has given his statement to the prosecutor in Kraljevo!

After the horrific accident, the suspect was first taken to the police in Kraljevo, however, according to Informer's unofficial sources, in the presence of a defense attorney, he decided to remaining silent. But then, after the 48-hour police detention, he was taken to the prosecutor's office in Kraljevo, where he gave a statement.

"After the accident, he was in complete shock and did not say anything to the police officers about the horrible accident, but then he spoke briefly to the prosecutor. He said, among other things, that he felt ill before the collision and that he doesn't remember anything after that," a source familiar with the case told Informer.

Expert examination of the vehicle, but also everything else that is necessary for the investigation, will now follow.

"It is important to determine the exact cause of the terrible accident. Five people lost their lives, and to make the tragedy even worse, an entire family was killed including children," stated the source.

On September 21 near Raska, around 1 pm, a military vehicle veered into the left lane and literally drove over a Ford. Three small children and their father Danijel Lazovic (33) died instantly. Their neighbor Dijana Kutlacic (27), who was traveling with in the car, was also killed. Only the mother of the children, Mirjana, survived.

"Due to the force of the impact, the heavy armored vehicle literally drove over the car, crushed it, and dragged it into a ditch by the side of the road. A man, his three children, and a neighbor remained dead on the spot, while Mirjana, Danijel's wife who was sitting in the passenger seat, remained alive, stuck in the crushed vehicle.

The rescuers did their best to get the woman out as soon as possible, but it took almost two hours to first remove the armored vehicle with cranes, and then to cut through the crushed car and free her," said a source and added that Mirjana was conscious when the Emergency Services took her over.
