Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric and US Undersecretary for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment Jose Fernandes will sign the Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Energy Sector between the Republic of Serbia and the United States today in Washington.

The agreement will enable new investments in the field of energy, the aim of which is to strengthen energy security and a sustainable transition towards clean energy sources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia has announced.

Djuric previously said that economic cooperation between the US and Serbia has progressed significantly.

"I am traveling to Washington, where I will participate in a meeting, a meeting of the Pupin Initiative, but I will also meet with a number of US officials. We expect to conclude an agreement with the US on strategic partnership in the field of energy very soon. It will be a new, important step forward in our relations," said Djuric.
