Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) in Zajecar have arrested B. M. (35), a Croatian citizen, who is suspected of committing the criminal offense of illegal crossing of the state border and people smuggling.

He is suspected of transporting 33 irregular migrants who the border police found in the cargo area of a Fiat Ducato near the town of Zajecar, eastern Serbia. He had an accomplice that the police are intensively looking for.
The prosecution ordered the suspect to be detained for up to 48 hours after which he will be brought before the prosecutor at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zajecar, along with a criminal complaint.
