Contract signed for purchase of 12 Rafale aircraft

A ceremony of exchanging the signed bilateral documents was held in the Palace of Serbia in the presence of President and Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Army Aleksandar Vucic, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasic exchanged the signed contract on the purchase of Rafale aircraft and related goods and services with Dassault CEO Eric Tappier.

The total value of the contract is 2.7 billion euros for 12 completely new aircraft, with all the accompanying equipment.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Dr. Nenad Miloradovic, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense General-Lieutenant Dusko Zarkovic, and representatives of Dassault.

Equipping the Air Force with Rafales will ensure long-term protection of the airspace of Serbia and contribute to the overall security of our country and citizens, said a statement.
