Blazic's father's disgraceful words at Mladenovac massacre trial: He said it in front of victims' families!

Shocking words of the father of suspect Uros Blazic, uttered in front of the families of those killed in the massacre

Uros B. (22) from the village of Dubona near Mladenovac took the lives of nine people, including a 15-year-old child, and seriously injured 12 others on May 4, 2023.

Today he is on trial in Belgrade. In the courtroom are the families of the victims, people who have been looking for justice for months, people who have had the most valuable thing taken from them - their children. Most of the victims were buried on Djurdjevdan (St. George's Day).

Radisa Blazic, the defendant's father, is accused of giving access to a house full of weapons to the killer, enabling him to get the rifle with which he committed the horrific crime. The killer's father is mentioned several times in the indictment, and the person who spoke his name the most is Uros Blazic, who tried to justify the crime by saying he was resentful because he did not get an apartment from the Army, where Radisa was employed for years.

When Radisa was called to the stand today, he was told that he could present his defense and make a statement in defense of his son. He then made some shocking statements.

"Thank you for the opportunity, I want to address everyone. The pain and sorrow I feel because of that terrible crime, that a dark force of nature made my son commit such a massacre... If I had known it would come to that, I would have given my head in exchange for (stopping) the slightest injury. I took the oath to the fatherland and the people in 1987. I became an officer 40 years ago. While I was defending the people during the horrors of the 90s, I did not regret giving my life. I can't justify my son. You have the right to declare me crazy, to kill me within four walls, but I am not crazy, the truth is undeniable," he said.

He said that the suffering of the families of those killed "will be felt more by his heart than the heart of anyone sitting in the courtroom." And he said that in front of the mourners!

"In the cell, with fasting and prayer, I pray for the resurrection, I can't believe that my son did something like that. He was brought up to be honest, to study, to head a household. Everyone knows who I am and what I am. Where I came from and how far I have come. However, nothing can justify my son's deeds. I am listening here that my son shot at a sack from an automatic rifle in a three-by-two meter room," added Radisa Blazic.

He said that he never spoke to his son about guns "because he knows that they are evil" and has avoided them since the 90s.

"I was put in a situation where the issue of my guilt is raised, that I allowed my son to do something like that. I didn't even go hunting, let alone allow my son to kill a guy I dream about for nights, who was having fun with me at some party, he wore a dark red shirt. I will mourn him as if he were (my) son. I am here defending the truth, the uniform, the honor of an officer. I am sorry to be held responsible before this court, that it is not an international one."
