Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns will travel to Belgrade after his visit to Sarajevo, Radio Free Europe (RSE) reported last evening.

Earlier in the day in Sarajevo, Burns spoke with the minister of Foreign Affairs in the BiH Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konakovic, as well as with members of the BiH Presidency and the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency, Almir Dzuvo.

William Burns was appointed CIA Director in January 2021, at the beginning of US President Joseph Biden's term, and is also a member of the White House presidential cabinet.

Burns is considered a person in whom Biden has a lot of confidence and who he often sends on sensitive diplomatic missions.
