Italian KFOR soldiers from the regional command West carried out regular patrols along the administrative line (between Kosovo and central Serbia) in the Istok municipality.

That mission announced that these patrols are part of KFOR's daily activities to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo and Metohija.
"KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo, at all times and impartially," the statement said.
