Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, who is on an official visit to Moscow, met today with the aide to the president of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev.

Vulin congratulated Patrushev on his appointment as aide to the president of the Russian Federation and on his appointment as the president of the Maritime Board of Russia, and expressed his satisfaction that cooperation will continue in areas of interest to both countries.

Joint focus on further improvement of the strategic partnership between Serbia and Russia was noted.

Vulin also said Patrushev is a great friend and ally of Serbia and thanked him for his personal efforts as well as the commitment of the Russian Federation against the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution on Srebrenica, and for the consistent policy of respecting out country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
