Today, the Serbian Army began providing assistance by supplying water to cattle that had access to none for days after the spring Rakos dried up on Suva Planina (Suva Mountain).

This task involves members of the Army using two tanker trucks, who brought water in several rounds during the day to about 1,000 horses and cows, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

In addition to the Serbian Army, trucks from the Public Utility Company Mediana Nis are also helping by using their vehicles to deliver water.

The Serbian Army is currently engaged in providing assistance regarding water supply to the villages threatened by the drought in the territory of Vladimiraci, Gornji Milanovac, Mionica, and Sjenica, and is ready to deploy available forces and resources in all parts of our country.

Members of the Serbian Army have, as they have done countless times before, responded to the call to help the population and showed that they are always with their people, the statement added.
