Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic said that Bekim Haxhiu's monstrous statement calling for the killing of Serbian police officers (posted on Facebook, in the context of the burial in Kosovo and Metohija of Fatim Hajrizi, gloryfing this smuggler, criminal, and police killer, who was eventually himself shot and killed by Serbian police) is an ominous announcement of the terror and evil that would affect all Serbs, especially those living in Kosovo and Metohija.

"The most monstrous glorification of terrorism and of the murder of a Serbian policeman, by Bekim Haxhiu, is only proof that hatred and violence against everything that's Serb has no limits. I can't say that I'm surprised by Haxhiu's call to kill Serbian policemen, I'm not even surprised that he said it publicly. I would only be surprised if such a monstrous statement remains without reaction from the international community and all its relevant institutions"

"The state of Serbia is responsible, it is dedicated to the policy of peace and stability and it is committed to one of the most important tasks of any country, which is the protection of its citizens from terrorism and extremism. Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), along with other security services, are not afraid of the infantile statements made by amateur politicians from a non-existent state ("Kosovo") and will oppose any attempt at terrorism with all their might and protect their citizens, their country and peace and stability of our fatherland," said Dacic.
