Chief Public Prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade Nenad Stefanovic warned today that violence on the streets of the capital will not be tolerated.

He at the same time called on participants of the protest announced for August 10 in Belgrade to exercise their right to peaceful assembly in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic.
"Everyone has the right to peaceful assembly, but violence in the territory of Belgrade will not be tolerated, and anyone who reaches for it will be prosecuted in accordance with the law," said Stefanovic.
He urged participants of the announced protest to respect public order and peace, as well as not to resort to any kind of violent behavior.
