It's started! Heavy rain is falling Cacak, central Serbia, and a video taken in this town shows the scene suddenly becoming dark as a downpour began.

In the middle of the day, the precipitation will intensify over the western regions of Serbia with a tendency to move the north-west high current towards the central, southwestern, southern, southeastern and eastern regions.

In these areas, there will be conditions for thunderstorms and storms with hail, string winds and heavy downpours, while a significant amount of rain may fall in a short period of time.

In the middle of the day and in the afternoon, the heaviest precipitation is expected in the western and southwestern regions of Serbia, where more than 30-40 liters of rain per square meter are forecast to fall on a large area of these regions.

Today's change in weather is the result of the penetration of a cold front from the northwest, which will bring cooler weather, in addition to precipitation.

The maximum temperatures today will range from 26 to 30° Celsius, up to 28°C in Belgrade.

After more than 17 days, we can now say that today's cooling is the end of a heatwave during which temperatures reached 42°C, and this was one of the most intense hot spells in recent years.

On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be much more pleasant, but not for long, because a new heat wave will start affecting Serbia during the weekend, with maximum temperatures above 35°C next week.
