Five people were killed today in the Home for the Elderly and Infirm in Daruvar, Croatia, reports mojportal.hr.

The killer ran away after that, but the police soon caught him.

As Jutarnji List has unofficially learned, the attacker was born in 1973, and participated in the war during the '90s.

He broke into the nursing home with a pistol, shot and killed his mother, and four others including residents and employees.

One more person is said to be in critical condition, while two others who were wounded are out of danger.
