Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met with Chinese Ambassador Li Ming in Belgrade, when they spoke about continued bilateral cooperation.

It was stressed during the conversation that Serbia and China are bound by a steely friendship and mutual understanding and support on issues of the highest strategic nature, said a statement from Vulin's cabinet.

Vulin thanked China for supporting Serbia's territorial integrity and not recognizing fake state Kosovo, stressing that Serbia supports the integrity of China and the One China policy.

He said that Serbia is deeply grateful to leader Xi Jinping and China, which recently voted against a resolution on Srebrenica in the United Nations Assembly.

The interlocutors emphasized that Serbia and China will continue to support each other in the international arena and in the highest international institutions.

Li said that Vulin is an "old friend of China" who has made an immeasurable personal contribution to improvement of cooperation between Serbia and China in the field of security, and that the projects that were started during his previous mandate are now being successfully implemented.

The two officials also assessed that the recent visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinping to Serbia further strengthened the Serbian-Chinese steely friendship, and that presidents Vucic and Xi signed a series of agreements in the fields of economy, agriculture and infrastructure that will bring many benefits and prosperity to the Serbian and Chinese people.
