Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin has met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Aleksandar Grushko. The Russian official is on an official visit to Belgrade.

Vulin and Grushko discussed the overall bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia and agreed that cooperation between the two countries, which is based on friendship and mutual respect, is at an exceptional level in all areas, stressing the commitment to further developing political, security and economic cooperation.

Deputy PM Vulin thanked Russia for its principled support in preserving national interests and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and respecting UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

Jointly organized commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in World War II and the 80th anniversary of Victory over fascism were also on the agenda of the meeting.
