Police officers in Nis, on the order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office, arrested D.DJ. (38) from the vicinity of Zitoradja, on suspicion that he committed a serious crime against the safety of public traffic.

He was driving an Iveco van when he is suspected of hitting a 30-year-old man. The accident happened yesterday near Doljevac. Prior to getting mowed down by the van, the man was on the road, having had fallen off his motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died from his injuries.
The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hoursby the police and will be brought before the prosecutor in Nis along with a criminal complaint.
