Today is the hottest day in Serbia, and according to the weather forecast, temperatures will rise to 40 degrees Celsius. Dr. Dragana Milosevic from the Vozdovac Health Center (DZ) is advising all citizens not to leave their home today between 10 am and 6 pm, to hydrate as much as possible, and has special advice for chronic patients.

As she stresses, plenty of fluids, light food, and above all staying at home during high temperatures is important for all citizens, especially for chronic patients.

"When the temperatures are this high, you should not go outside unless absolutely necessary. It is also important that all citizens take their medication, which they otherwise take regularly," Milosevic told Telegraf.rs and pointed out that chronic patients suffer during extreme weather spells.

"When temperatures are high or low, and now they are enormously high, chronic patients must take their therapy really regularly, monitor the symptoms of their body, avoid going out and listen to the doctor's advice," she stressed and added that doctors are there to give them advice and direct them to the right address.

"If someone is not well, of course, they will be admitted immediately and examined by a doctor. For everything else, you can schedule an examination in agreement with your chosen doctor, and that is one way for our patients to be satisfied and to be examined," said the doctor from DZ Vozdovac.
