Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his victory in the elections.

"Heartfelt congratulations Narendra Modi on your electoral victory. I am confident that India will continue on its current path of impressive successes and prosperity under your prudent leadership and that we will keep fostering strong ties between Serbia and India," Vucic posted on X.
Modi earlier in the day declared victory of his National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition in the country's general election.
He said that the people had given their trust to his National Democratic Alliance for a third time and promised to continue on the path of positive results from the previous decade.
Two key regional allies in the coalition backed him for prime minister, despite some predictions that his party would not win a majority in the general election.
