The police of so-called Kosovo has raided the branch of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, thus continuing to shut down Serbian financial and banking institutions in Kosovo and Metohija.

It has been announced that the action was carried out in the presence of the manager of the "treasury" when the safe was opened and 152,290 Serbian dinars, 4,580 euros and 940 Swiss francs were seized.

This, they said, is a continuation of the action that began on May 20, when the police failed to open the safe due to the absence of the treasury manager.

"Police investigators" yesterday morning identified the manager who brought the keys to the safe after receiving a call.

In the presence of this manager, the safe was unlocked and the money taken.

The police of so-called Kosovo added that the manager was interrogated in the presence of a lawyer as a suspect and that proceedings will be initiated against him, in connection with other investigative actions.
