Mystery of little Danka Ilic's body could soon be solved: Suspect Srdjan reacted through his lawyer
"There is every chance that he will testify and end his defense of remaining silent, that's all I can say for now," says lawyer Bogdanovic
The agony regarding the body of little Danka Ilic, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances two months ago on March 26 from a family's barn in Banjsko Polje, where she was staying that afternoon with her mother and brother, seems like it will have an epilogue soon.
Suspects in the murder, Dejan D. from Zlot and Srdjan J. from the village of Luka, who have been in custody since Dejan's confession that he committed the crime, have chosen to remain silent.
However, Srdjan J. announced two months ago that he would testify before the prosecutor about the location of the body of Danka Ilic, which has not yet been found, but nothing came of it.
The decision of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zajecar to extend their detention for another 30 days a few days ago, according to unofficial information, made him think about finally speaking about the location of the girl's body, which his lawyer Zivadin Bogdanovic confirmed to us.
"What you heard is true. There is every chance that he will testify and end his defense of remaining silent, that's all I can say for now, I have to go to the court," lawyer Bogdanovic told us very briefly.
We will find out in the coming days whether Srdjan J. will speak about the crime, so that the truth that has been sought for two whole months will finally be discovered.
