I.J. from Belgrade was the victim of horrific violence on Monday evening, just a few steps from the apartment where she lives.

Telegraf.rs has learned that S.V. started insulting his common law wife on the street and pulling her hair until he knocked her down to the sidewalk. Then he kicked her head and body, and who knows what would have happened to the woman if two men had not overpowered the assailant.

I.J. ran into the apartment and called the police, who immediately took S.V. into custody.

The attacker was drunk at the time of the incident.

According to unofficial information his blood alcohol was about 1.5 permilles.

I.J. was examined by doctors, and she told the police that she had been suffering horrific violence for years, but did not report it out of fear for her life and the life of her child.

Telegraf.rs has learned that the two started quarreling on Monday over 2,000 dinars.
