The implementation of the Free Trade Agreement with China starts on July 1, and all the signed agreements will create enormous opportunities for the placement of goods produced by Serbian producers. Apart from China, the markets of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates will also be available to domestic businesses.

"China is one of Serbia's biggest friends, but it is not the only one. Over the past years, we have tried to create better conditions for our businesspeople, so that they can invest in Serbia, and then export their products. New markets that are opening up can consume not only products from Serbia but also from the entire Balkans," Minister of Trade Tomislav Momirovic told RINA during his visit to the town of Cacak.

He stressed that a strong domestic economy is one of the main preconditions for the economic progress of the whole of Serbia, therefore agreements on free trade and exemption from customs duties are crucial for any business.

"We already have a big increase in raspberry exports, the fruit sector offers great chances and opportunities. Serbia is strongly determined to stand by its private sector and domestic companies, which are given direct support. All this will contribute to better life for our citizens, higher salaries and pensions in the future. Our goal is the average salary of 1,400 euros and pensions of 650, and we are taking big and rapid steps towards achieving that goal," said Momirovic.

The agreement on free trade with China represents a great chance for businesspeople and farmers from Serbia. It will enable Serbia to significantly increase exports to this country, bearing in mind that customs tariffs will get gradually reduced to zero for more than 10,000 Serbian products.
