Aleksandar Vulin met on Wednesday with Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Zubov, as part of the 12th International Meeting of Senior Officials Responsible for Security Issues held in St. Petersburg, organized by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.

General Igor Nikolayevich Zubov emphasized in his conversation with Aleksandar Vulin that the Russian Federation firmly supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

General Zubov pointed out that the Serbian and Russian police with their joint forces recorded exceptional and significant results in the fight against transnational organized crime, cybercrime, as well as in the fight against drug trafficking during the period when Aleksandar Vulin served as Minister of the Interior, and that he is proud of joint cooperation and successes of Serbian and Russian police.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation General Zubov expressed his belief that cooperation with Aleksandar Vulin in the field of security will continue.

Aleksandar Vulin also had successful talks with senior official of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation, whose director, General of the Army Aleksandr Bortnikov previously presented Aleksandar Vulin with a high award - the Order for Exceptional Professionalism, for his contribution to cooperation between Serbian and Russian services.
