Mali: This morning, Vucic sent letters to European leaders regarding so-called Kosovo's membership in CoE
Mali stressed that in all the decades they have known each other, he has never seen a more worried President Vucic and stated that pressure concerns problems in the region, i.e. BiH (Bosnia and Herzegovina), then the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the issue of sanctions against the Russian Federation, a United Nations resolution on genocide in Srebrenica
Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has sent letters to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and others this morning regarding the bid of so-called Kosovo to join the Council of Europe (CoE), "which shows that Serbia will not surrender."
"We are economically strong and I am very optimistic, but pressure that Serbia is currently exposed to undermines that optimism. President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic is more worried than ever, and the reasons for that are objective, and they lie in that pressure," Mali told TV Happy.
Mali stressed that in all the decades they have known each other, he has never seen a more worried President Vucic and stated that pressure concerns problems in the region, i.e. BiH (Bosnia and Herzegovina), then the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the issue of sanctions against the Russian Federation, a United Nations resolution on genocide in Srebrenica.
"These are serious pressures and that's exactly why I say, I've never seen him more worried. Of course, we will do our best to find solutions," said Mali and added that anyone who knows Vucic must know one thing, and that is that surrender is never an option.
Mali said that the reasons for concern are objective and pointed out that elections for the European Parliament, in Britain, and in the US are coming up and that now pressure is on to get everything done if possible before those elections.
Aleksandar Vucic said last night, after a meeting with the leadership of the Serb Republic (RS, the Serb entity in BiH), that Serbia will fight until the last moment against admission of so-called of Kosovo to the Council of Europe, and against the draft UN General Assembly resolution on Srebrenica.
