Srdjan Jankovic (50) and Dejan Dragijevic (50), who have been arrested on suspicion of killing Danka Ilic (2) from Bor and then dumping her body, were brought to Banjsko Polje yesterday by the police, while it was still believed that the little girl was alive.
Our journalists filmed them, accompanied by the police, walking around the area where the girl was searched for and showing something. Unfortunately, the worst possible news arrived today - Danka Ilic is dead.
In the meantime, the police arrested Jankovic and Dragijevic on suspicion that they were responsible for the death. According to unofficial information, on March 26, when the girl was reported missing, they hit Danka with the car they were traveling in, and then put her body in the trunk to eventually dispose of it at another location.
The girl's body is believed to have been left at a garbage dump, but it has not yet been found. According to our reporters at the scene, another intensive search of site and the surrounding area is underway, in order to recover the body.
The Interior Ministry, MUP, officially announced that two men have been detained on suspicion of killing a girl who had been missing for ten days, and that they confessed to the crime.
Danka disappeared on March 26 at around 13:45 and there has been no trace of her since. It is suspected that the child was hit by the car on the same day at 13:52, and that her body was then taken away and left at the garbage dump.
According to unofficial information, the suspects, after hitting the child in Radomira Putnika Street with an official vehicle (belonging to a local public utility company), a Fiat Panda, put the body in the trunk and later threw it away.
