The police, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, have arrested Serbian citizen I.DZ. (44), Indian citizen A.K. (33), Pakistani citizen K.N.N. (38) and Bangladeshi citizen R.R. (31).
They are suspected of kidnapping a 21-year-old man from Bangladesh, from the street, in the evening of March 23, focing him into a car and taking him to a house in Belgrade.
They tortured and abused the young man, inflicting a serious bodily injury on him, and demanding that his parents and relatives pay 40,000 euro ransom for his release.
The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours, after which they were brought before the competent prosecutor's office along with a criminal complaint.
